The vinyl retracing ℘etticoat ℊovernment's scenario is finally out.
Quantizing folklore
Senjan Jansen’s remix of “La claque”, a composition by Moha Ezatvar,
performed by Salamba and recorded at the Ateliers Claus in Brussels in
February 2024. Quantizing folklore was broadcast in the Belgian Pavilion
as part of the ℘etticoat ℊovernment scenario, during the 60th edition
of the Biennale di Venezia (April 20 – November 24, 2024).
7 traversèrent
A sound piece by Laszlo Umbreit composed from the recordings of
℘etticoat ℊovernment’s trip to Venezia in March 2024, the bus ride
through the Alps, the festive picnic on the frozen Lake Resia, the dance
of the giants in the rotary printing press of La Gazzetta dello Sport
in Padova, the crossing of the lagoon to the Giardini.
Thanks to Peter Veyt for the piece “Giants” specially composed for the
Resia chapter of ℘etticoat ℊovernment, and performed by the
percussionists of Salamba and the Filharmonix brass band.

The collective selected for the Belgian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale
2024 developed ℘etticoat ℊovernment, a multi-chapter scenario involving
giants drawn from various European folklores. The half-hour musical
film, presented in a loop, recounts this joyful artistic experience. The
screening is also an opportunity to present, in the foyer of Cinematek,
the vinyl record of the film’s soundtrack, created by Senjan Jansen and
Laszlo Umbreit.

difficult to produce an email that is graphically complete, visible
without hindrance on the myriad media on which you read us, and free

on the scale of the text format for which the email was designed in

Le vinyle de ℘etticoat ℊovernment est enfin prêt.
Quantizing folklore
Remix par Senjan Jansen de « La claque », une composition de Moha
Ezatvar, jouée par Salamba et enregistrée aux Ateliers Claus à Bruxelles
en février 2024. Quantizing folklore a été diffusé dans le Pavillon
belge au sein du scénario ℘etticoat ℊovernment, durant la 60e édition de
la Biennale di Venezia (20 avril – 24 novembre 2024).
7 traversèrent
Une pièce sonore de Laszlo Umbreit composée à partir des enregistrements
du voyage de ℘etticoat ℊovernment vers Venezia en mars 2024, le trajet
en bus à travers les Alpes, le pique-nique festif sur le lac gelé de
Resia, la danse des géant·es dans l’imprimerie rotative de La Gazzetta
dello Sport à Padova, la traversée de la laguna vers les Giardini.
Merci à Peter Veyt pour le morceau « Géant·es » spécialement conçu pour
le chapitre Resia de ℘etticoat ℊovernment, et joué par les
percussionnistes de Salamba et la fanfare Filharmonix.

Le collectif sélectionné pour le Pavillon Belge de la Biennale de Venise
2024 a développé ℘etticoat ℊovernment, un scénario en plusieurs
chapitres déplaçant des géant·es issus de différents folklores d'Europe.
Un film musical d'une demi-heure présenté en boucle, relate cette
joyeuse expérience artistique. La séance est aussi l'occasion de
présenter dans le foyer de la Cinematek le vinyle de la bande-son du
film réalisée par Senjan Jansen et Laszlo Umbreit.

Le spam et l'exploitation commerciale de l'e-mail standard rend très
difficile la production d'un e-mail qui serait graphiquement complet,
visible sans encombre sur la myriade de supports sur lesquels vous nous
lisez, et débarrassé de la surveillance des plateformes mailchimpisées.
On préfère donc faire confiance à l'échelle du format texte pour lequel
l'e-mail a été conçu en 1965, donner un carottage des images compatibles
avec les 24 caractères de largeur des plus petits écrans, et vous
refiler les url sous chaque image pour les consulter en full option.

Quantizing folklore
Senjan Jansens remix van “La claque”, een compositie van Moha Ezatvar,
uitgevoerd door Salamba en opgenomen in de Ateliers Claus in Brussel in
februari 2024. Quantizing folklore werd uitgezonden in het Belgisch
Paviljoen als onderdeel van het ℘etticoat ℊovernment-scenario, tijdens
de 60e editie van de Biënnale van Venezia (20 april – 24 november 2024).

Een geluidsstuk van Laszlo Umbreit, gecomponeerd op basis van opnames
van ℘etticoat ℊovernment reis naar Venezia in maart 2024, de busrit door
de Alpen, de feestelijke picknick op het bevroren Reschenmeer, de dans
van de reuz(inn)en in de rotatiedrukpers van La Gazzetta dello Sport in
Padova, en de oversteek van de lagune naar de Giardini.

voor het hoofdstuk Resia van ℘etticoat ℊovernment, en uitgevoerd door de

Biënnale van Venetië in 2024 heeft ℘etticoat ℊovernment ontwikkeld, een
scenario in meerdere hoofdstukken dat reuzen uit verschillende Europese
folklores in beweging zet. De muzikale film van een half uur, die in
loop wordt vertoond, getuigt over deze vrolijke artistieke ervaring. De
vertoning biedt ook de mogelijkheid om de soundtrack van de film,
gecomponeerd door Senjan Jansen en Laszlo Umbreit, op vinyl te
presenteren in de foyer van Cinematek.
