Surtitle, context ┐
In partnership with the Eden cultural center and BPS22, the team of
Denicolai & Provoost · Antoinette Jattiot · Nord · Spec uloos gives
shape to the Charleroi chapter of Petticoat Government. The Venetian
chapter has just ended with the dismantling of the large industrial
metal platform and its recycling by http://skellet.com
its producer, and the collection of the paper used for the printers in
the Pavilion's copyshop, by Venetian school Il Polo Tecnico e
Professionale di Venezia I.I.S. Vendramin Corner.
──── Chapter 6 ┐
In Charleroi, in the city of the giant Julia, ℘ℊ is imagined around
different timeframes and culminates with a public banquet on Sunday,
April 27.
──── Fermentation ┐
Beforehand, on March 15, a fermentation workshop invites all interested
and willing people to come and learn the basics of this preserving and
canning technique. This time is dedicated to preparing the jars of
fermented vegetables to be served during the banquet.
──── Presentation ┐
From April 21 to 27, the presentation of ℘ℊ slips into the streets of
Charleroi. On digital screens of the city, several images recall the
chapters preceding the return of the collective and the giants to
Belgium.
──── Banquet ┐
On April 27, the ℘ℊ team, the authors of the catalogue, other
accomplices and the public attend a public banquet for an afternoon. The
guests take part in the preparation of the meal by bringing a cutting
board, a kitchen knife and 200 gr of a seasonal vegetable for the making
of a large surprise minestrone served during the banquet. The lunch is
punctuated by readings, film screenings and presentations by the people
who collaborated on the scenario of ℘ℊ. At the end of the banquet, a
musical intermezzo with the giant Julia and the group of percussionists
of Salamba brings together the participants to dance and talking
further. This friendly moment and collective digestion has been
conceived as a collective step towards rethinking about the different
elements shared in the publication and gathered through orality in 2024
with the giants' communities and all the people who have ℘ℊ on its
journey, more or less directly.

& Provoost · Antoinette Jattiot · Nord · Spec uloos propose le
chapitre Charleroi de Petticoat Government. Le chapitre vénitien vient
de se terminer avec le démontage de la plateforme métallique monumentale
et sa reprise par http://skellet.com,
son producteur, d'une part et d'autre part le transfert du papier qui
servait dans le copyshop du pavillon vers l'école vénitienne Il Polo
Tecnico e Professionale di Venezia I.I.S. Vendramin Corner.
──── Chapitre 6 ┐
À Charleroi, dans la ville de la géante Julia, ℘ℊ s’articule autour de
plusieurs espace-temps et culmine autour d’un banquet public le dimanche
27 avril.
──── Fermentation ┐
En amont, le 15 mars, un atelier de fermentation invite toutes les
personnes intéressé.es et volontaires à venir apprendre les bases de
cette technique de conservation. C'est aussi le moment consacré à la
préparation des légumes fermentés destinés au banquet.
──── Présentation ┐
À partir du 21 jusqu'au 27 avril, la présentation de ℘ℊ trouve sa place
dans les rues de Charleroi. Intercalées sur des écrans numériques de la
ville, plusieurs images remémorent les chapitres ayant précédé le
retour du collectif et des géant.es en Belgique.
──── Banquet ┐
Le 27 avril, l'équipe de ℘ℊ, les auteur·ices du catalogue, d’autres
complices et le public se réunissent lors d’un banquet public le temps
d'un après-midi. Les convives prennent part à la préparation du repas en
apportant une planche à découper, un couteau de cuisine et 200 gr d'un
légume de saison pour la confection d'un grand minestrone surprise servi
au cours du banquet. Le repas est ponctué de lectures, de projections
de films et d'interventions des personnes ayant collaboré au scénario de
℘ℊ. En fin de banquet, un interlude musical avec la géante Julia et la
fanfare de percussions Salamba réuni les participant.es pour danser et
continuer à échanger. Ce moment de convivialité et de digestion
collective est conçu comme une étape pour revenir sur et penser aux
différents éléments mis en partage dans la publication et collectés
oralement en 2024 avec les communautés des géant·es et toutes les
personnes ayant accompagné de près ou de loin ℘ℊ sur son trajet.

Boventitel, context ┐
In samenwerking met het cultureel centrum Eden en BPS22 stellen
Denicolai & Provoost, Antoinette Jattiot, Nord en Spec uloos het
hoofdstuk Charleroi voor van Petticoat Government. Het Venetiaans
hoofdstuk is net beëindigd met de ontmanteling van het monumentale
metalen platform en de recuperatie ervan door http://Skellet.com
de producent enerzijds en de overdracht van het papier aan de
Venetiaanse school Il Polo Tecnico e Professionale di Venezia I.I.S.
Vendramin Corner anderzijds.
──── Hoofdstuk 6 ┐
In Charleroi, de stad van de reuzin Julia, ℘ℊ opgebouwd zich rond
verschillende momenten, met als hoogtepunt een openbaar banket op zondag
27 april.
──── Fermentatie ┐
Vooraf, op 15 maart, wordt een fermentatieworkshop georganiseerd waar
alle geïnteresseerden de basisbeginselen van deze conserveringstechniek
kunnen leren. Het is ook de gelegenheid voor het klaarmaken van de
bokalen met gefermenteerde groenten voor het banket.
──── Presentatie ┐
Van 21 tot en met 27 april vindt de presentatie van ℘ℊ plaats in de
straten van Charleroi. Afwisselend op verschillende digitale schermen in
de stad herinneren een reeks beelden aan de hoofdstukken die
voorafgingen aan de terugkeer van het collectief en de reuz(inn)en naar
België.
──── Banket ┐
Op 27 april komen het ℘ℊ-team, de auteurs van de catalogus, andere
handlangers en het publiek een middag lang bijeen voor een openbaar
banket. Gasten helpen mee met de voorbereiding van de maaltijd door een
snijplank, een keukenmes en 200 gram seizoensgroente mee te nemen.
Hiermee maken ze een grote verrassingsminestrone die tijdens het banket
wordt geserveerd. De maaltijd wordt afgewisseld met lezingen,
filmvertoningen en interventies van mensen die meewerkten aan het
scenario van ℘ℊ. Aan het einde van het banket is er een muzikaal
intermezzo met de reuzin Julia en de Salamba-percussieband, waarbij de
deelnemers samenkomen om te dansen en verder te praten. Dit moment van
gezelligheid en collectieve verwerking is bedoeld als een stap om terug
te keren naar en na te denken over de verschillende elementen die in de
publicatie worden gedeeld en mondeling werden verzameld in 2024 met de
gemeenschappen van de reuz(inn)en en alle mensen die ℘ℊ van dichtbij of
van veraf hebben vergezeld tijdens de reis.
